I had my iPad Pro 10.5 repaired twice - once screen defect or other I bent it it was only $50 on my end to fix it. If it's out of warranty, of course they will fight tooth and nail or if you legit broke it. Even if there is some factory defect, if it has insurance, they will never question it when going to repair and not charge anything. I've know that for years, but the experience I've had with Apple repairs and 90% them covering the cost, has been A+. Apple is notorious for repair cost out of pocket. You don't need it, but if you break it, it's all on you. My point is, they profit from the sale of the device, from the warranty service, and from accessories that have the potential to damage said device.īut that is how insurance works, you are always liable for some cost. Apple also sells AppleCare+, which makes you pay yet an additional for repairs if it's not a manufacturing defect.
